The Super Chevy Show event series will join the Velocity Network as the newest TV program in the lineup of automotive-driven content with 13 episodes highlighting the 2015 season. Discovery Communications’ high-definition cable channel Velocity, will bring the same namesake Super Chevy Show into 62 million households across the U.S., and is scheduled to air on 13 consecutive weeks from October through December 2015.
Comprised of the premier national Chevrolet, Ford and Mopar branded competitive automotive events, the Manufacturers Series welcomes Tucson’s Southwestern International Raceway (SWIR) as the latest host track to join the Series schedule in 2015. The 110-acre drag racing facility located at the Pima County Fairgrounds will feature a spectacular car show, lightning-fast drag racing, manufacturers’ midway and swap meet for each of the “Big Three” American brands.

Sometimes, it is just your day. Such was the case for 18-year-old John Tolisano III during the IHRA Summit Racing Equipment World Finals as the young man from Jupiter, Florida overcame a tricky racetrack and ever-increasing odds to win the Summit SuperSeries Junior Dragster World Championship at the IHRA season finale at Memphis International Raceway. And he did it all in his final race ever in a Junior Dragster.
“It still doesn’t seem real. To win my last race ever in a Junior Dragster and for it to be for the World Championship, it is just amazing,” Tolisano said. “It is still so hard to believe, but I am sure it will sink in one of these days.”
