PBIR Partners with MCI Institute of Technology to Donate Two Scholarships

Friday, November 8, 2013

Palm Beach International Raceway™ (PBIR) is proud to team up with the MCI Institute of Technology (MCI) in supporting a tradition of excellence in racing and promoting automotive education by sponsoring a contest for two free scholarships for the upcoming 2014 school year.

Two lucky winners will receive a complete 12-month professional training in either an automotive or allied healthcare program: Automotive Service Technology; Automotive Collision, Repair and Refinishing; Pharmacy Technician; Medical or Administrative Assistant; or Massage Therapy. For the student selecting an automotive program, Bennett Auto Supply will also provide one starter tool box kit.

The comprehensive curriculum at MCI is designed to deliver both academic and clinical practice for students. Upon completion of each student’s individual program, the Education Department works closely with the Placement Department to assist graduates in successfully obtaining employment. MCI offers convenient day and evening classes at their Palm Beach County facility, located off Okeechobee Boulevard just west of I-95.

MCI staff will be attending the following events at PBIR to promote the school while collecting contest entries:

  • 32nd Annual Bennett Auto Supply Citrus Nationals presented by South Florida Chevy Dealers and JW Performance Transmission – November 8–10, 2013 (#CitrusNationals)
  • Speed Fest Powered by BizSpeed and American Speedwear – December 7, 2013 (#SpeedFest)

To register online to win a scholarship, visit www.mciiot.com and look for the application form on the home page of the website. Entries must be submitted by December 10, 2013, and the winners will be selected on December 15, 2013. Applicants must have a valid high school diploma or GED, and this offer is not redeemable for cash.

A winning spirit promoting self-esteem and viable career alternatives is the goal of everyone at MCI Institute of Technology. The purpose of the institution is to provide quality education to our students. The institution is constantly updating its curricula and recognizing its obligation to the students and the professions the will serve. Thomas P. Kilianski founded Medical Career Institute of South Florida, Inc. located at 802 S. Dixie Hwy, in Lake Worth, Florida in 2001. In 2004, the institution received accreditation by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education (COE). In January 2005, the institution relocated to a larger building at 1750 45th St in West Palm Beach, Florida, in order to accommodate the increasing student population. Starting in 2010, we relocated to a larger building on 3650 Shawnee Ave., also in West Palm Beach, to better serve our always increasing student population and also changed our name to MCI Institute of Technology. In 2012, we increased our program offerings and opened and auxiliary location to house the new programs, located at 1832 Wabasso Dr., West Palm Beach. The institution also purchased an additional campus located at 70 Dixie Hwy., in Boca Raton, Florida, which teaches the Cosmetology and Full Specialist with Body Treatments programs.
