The Summit Super Series point’s race series on Palm Beach International Raceway's quarter-mile, all-concrete drag strip is coming to a close this weekend. After more than a dozen races, the series will close and champions in Box, No Box, Quick 16, Street Bike, Pro Bike and Jr. Dragster will be crowned.
Point’s leader in “box” class, Paul Schultz could be dubbed one of the most dedicated drivers at Palm Beach International Raceway. Schultz has been racing at PBIR since 1989 and is a former Quick 16 champion.
Last Wednesday Schultz had his appendix removed, was discharged Friday and was back on the track Saturday in order to remain in the points lead. Schultz said he felt good after the race Saturday because he was able to get the points he needed and is anxious for the final race.
Gates open at 4 p.m. on Saturday for the SSS point’s race and the Challenge Series. Click here to see the latest point’s information. |
