 JUPITER, FL – May 3, 2011 – Palm Beach International Raceway’s quarter-mile drag strip transforms into a playground for some of the biggest, baddest Monster Trucks in the country.
On Friday and Saturday, May 6-7, the Spring Nationals Monster Truck & Motorsports Spectacular brings an armory of massive machines including Amsoil Shock Therapy, Ground Pounder, Reptoid, Michigan Ice Monster and Excalibur to wow the crowds with impressive jumps and car crushing stunts.
Spectators will watch with amazement as the 1,700 horsepower trucks fly 30-feet in the air and crush cars as well as drag race down Palm Beach International Raceway’s all-concrete drag strip.
“The Monster Truck & Motorsports Spectacular is another new event for us at PBIR,” said Jason Rittenberry, President and CEO, Palm Beach International Raceway. “These Monster Trucks, extreme motorcycles and quads will put on an amazing family-friendly show at PBIR. We expect a great crowd and show this weekend. We look forward to having Monster Truck fans of all ages fill the stands to watch these extraordinary machines and drivers.”
As part of the Motorsports Spectacular portion of the weekend, fans will be treated to the FMX Extreme Motorcycle Show where riders jump ramps and soar nearly 70 feet in the air. Twists, turns, flips and tricks are all part of the show when the motorcycles take to the track. Other elements to the Monster Truck & Motorsports Spectacular include side-by-side battles during the Quad Wars.
As a special offer on Friday night, the first 500 children will receive a free toy monster truck, courtesy of WFLX Fox 29.
Every ticket is a pit pass and fans are invited to attend the pit party that opens at 6 p.m. During the pit party, fans can see the Monster Trucks up close, take pictures and get autographs from their favorite drivers.
