DRIVEN2WIN Named Official Drag Racing School of PBIR
Wednesday, 14 April 2010 13:13

Driven2WinPalm Beach International Raceway has partnered with Driven2Win Drag Racing School to provide an experience like no other at the facility. Not only will Driven2Win provide a ride-a-long experience for race fans who want to feel the rush of the quarter-mile strip, but they also provide lessons on how to drive.

Two-time NHRA champion Nelson Hoyos is the lead instructor for the program. With 12 career victories and two consecutive titles under his belt, Hoyos has become one of the more dominant drivers in the NHRA Sport Compact Drag Racing Series and is ready to share his knowledge with those who want to learn.

“I am very excited about the new PBIR/Driven2win partnership,” said Hoyos. “In addition to our on-track events there are many off-track events planned around the PBIR/Driven2Win Drag Racing School partnership.

“We will visit local vocational and technical high schools, community colleges, malls and theaters with the show cars, simulators and promotional materials promoting Palm Beach International Raceway and D2W’s “Keep it off the streets and take it to the Track,” responsibility message. The on and off track local marketing efforts main objective is to create a positive image for PBIR and help create new opportunities for drag racing fans to get involved in drag racing at PBIR.”

“The Driven2Win program is top-notch and we’re proud to host them at PBIR,” said Jason Rittenberry, President and CEO of PBIR. “Nelson and Marla have a great program started and we’re happy to be on board. I know the ride-a-longs in the two seat dragster will be a huge hit. I hear it’s an experience unlike any other.”

Driven2Win will be at PBIR every Wednesday for those who are anxious to learn about driving down PBIR’s quarter-mile all concrete drag strip or for those adrenaline junkies who are looking to experience the thrill of a lifetime.
