Palm Beach International Raceway and Kwik Rick Productions are bringing back “Old School Outlaw Racing†on the quarter-mile, all concrete drag strip this Saturday, April 17.
Kwik Rick Productions is no stranger to the Palm Beach International Raceway drag strip. Founder Richard Stephens has been having events at PBIR when it was still Moroso Motorsports Park.
Kwik Rick Productions has had a very successful past at PBIR. In February of 2009, the race was the ultimate outlaw match between all makes and models of drag racing cars. 194 entries took to the drag strip with 4,000-plus spectators cheering the participants to the ¼-mile.
In “Outlaw Racing†no scoreboards and no time slips are used. It is a true grudge racing format, but done safely on PBIR’s quarter-mile drag strip instead of on the streets.
Gates for “Kwik Rick Old School Outlaw Racing†open at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17. Racer entry is $30 and crew and spectator fee is $15. Children under the age of 12 are free. |
