Grudge Racing and Gamblers Race
October 1 at 4pm
Palm Beach International Raceway’s drag strip is open for grudge and gamblers racing. Racers can bring their car or motorcycle to see what it can run in the quarter-mile. Gates open at 4pm, Grudge Racing begins at 5:30pm and Gamblers begins at 7pm. Grudge Racing is $20, crew and spectator prices are $10. The Gamblers entry fee is $30, payable in the tower with an 80/20 split.
Sports Car Driving Experience
October 2-3 at 7am
Sports Car Driving Experience (SCDE) Racing Schools teaches competition dynamics and car control with a combination of classroom and on-track sessions. Gain expertise through slalom, braking and heel-and-toe exercises taught by professional racing instructors. Students use Corvettes (C5s, C6s, and Z06s) to drive on PBIR’s road course. All racing school cars are equipped with in-car camera to further critique and perfect your race car driving skills off the track. Gates open at 7am. Two Wheel Tuesdays
October 4 at 5pm
No motor? No problem? Race cars will not be permitted on the road course at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) for two Tuesday each month until the end of the year. Instead, the two-mile road course is open and available to non-motorized modes of transportation as the south Florida track hosts Two Wheel Tuesdays. A different style of performance, power and speed will be the featured activity as PBIR implements the motor-less event. Cyclists, runners and rollerbladers will be the only modes of transportation allowed on the two-mile, 11-turn track. Admission to Two Wheel Tuesdays is $5 per entry. Gates open at 5pm and close at 9pm

Palm Beach International Raceway implements a new quarter-mile bracket brawl event for October. Classes include Top Eliminator/Box, Super Eliminator/No Box, Street Bike and Jr. Dragster. Racers compete for cash, bragging rights and trophies during this new event at PBIR. Gates open at 4pm and racing begins at 5:30pm. Crew and spectators are $10 and children 12 and under are free. Entry fees vary on class; full entry fees and payout information is available on www.racepbir.com.
Midnight Madness
October 14 at 6pm
The 10th installment of the 2011 Midnight Madness at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) is scheduled to hit the track on Friday, October 14 from 6pm-1am. In a two-fold event, test and tuners take to PBIR’s quarter-mile drag strip while amateur drifters help transform PBIR’s road course into a drifting circuit. Drag racers looking for the ultimate challenge can participate in the ‘Beat the Heat’ segment of the Test and Tune. Bring your favorite street machine to PBIR and challenge a police officer in the Beat the Heat Challenge. The program is dedicated to keep racing on the strip and off the streets. Drifting entry is $50; Test and Tune entry is $25. Spectator and crew prices for Midnight Madness are $10 and children 12 and under are free.

Hooked on Driving
October 22 at 7am
Hooked On Driving brings its high performance driving program, known as a high performance driving experience (HPDE), or high performance driving school (HPDS) to Palm Beach International Raceway. Hooked on Driving provides drivers of high performance cars and sports cars the opportunity to drive their cars on a race track with driving coaches. Gates open at 7am; sessions run until 5pm. Side-by-Side Mud Bog
October 22 at 4:30pm
MTW Promotions brings back some of the best side-by-side mud bog racing in south Florida to Palm Beach International Raceway. Jeeps, mud trucks and SUVs are invited to Palm Beach International Raceway’s mud bog area to test their guts and their trucks in the 300-foot mud pit on Saturday, October 22. Racer entry is $30; crew tickets are $15. Adult admission is $15 and children 12 and under are free. The racer gate opens (gate 3) at 2pm; spectator gate opens at 4:30pm and racing begins at 6:30pm.
National Sports Compact Racing Association (NSCRA)
October 23 at 9am
Watch some of the world’s fastest sport compact drag racing cars during Round 5 of the National Sport Compact Racing Association (NSCRA) on Sunday, October 23 at Palm Beach International Raceway. Competition covers the PBIR facility this weekend - from the sport compact cars battling on the race track to a 20-class car show that showcases some of the hottest import and domestic cars and bikes. Gates open at 9am. Spectator tickets are $20 for adults, children 12 and under are free, with paid adult. VIP ticket prices are $35. For more information, visit www.nscra.com

Go Kid Racing
Weekly on Sundays
On Sunday, MRP Motorsport will host the “Go Kid Racing kart school from 9am to 11:30am. Aspiring racers ages five to nine learn the fundamentals of karting with classroom and on-track instruction.
