If you were on the Island of Palm Beach last Wednesday and were traveling on South County road, you may have been one of the many spectators who stopped to take a look at the brand new BMW race car on display in front of Amici's thanks to the new Palm Beach International Raceway. Celebrity Bartender, Michael Crawford, (pictured in the middle between Amici's owner Mauritzio and Foundation Director Kim Madeiros) bar-tended after a two day trial run at Homestead raceway. Crawford, Indy Race Team Owner and former driver took a trip up to Palm Beach to support the Factor Foundation of America's upcoming gala and vintage car show taking place at the Palm Beach Convention Center on May 2 and 3.
Crawford said "I am thrilled to be able to help such a worthy cause."Â
The gala is the signature event of a two day car show that pays tribute to Dave Madeiros, founder of the Foundation and avid Mustang and vintage car buff, who died in March of 2004 from Hemophilia. This year's event will showcase all classes of cars on display at the Convention Center on May 2 and 3 along with food, games and activities for kids. We are thrilled that Mr. Crawford has been so gracious in helping to support our gala and car show which will be a wonderful outing for families to experience some of the most exciting cars on display and have a great time" said Kim Madeiros, Executive Director for the Factor Foundation.
The Factor Foundation of America provides programs, education and advocacy for people living with bleeding disorders throughout the United States. Most significantly, the FFOA strives to assist families dealing with diseases like Hemophilia to live normal lives and manage the financial burden of the enormous cost of treatment which can be as high as one million dollars each year.
