JUPITER, Fla. - - Palm Beach International Raceway today conducted a Formula BMW race school with Cincinnati native Mackenzie Woeste.
Upon arrival at the track, the 18-year-old driver received classroom instruction on safety, race lines, breaking and the mechanics of a Formula BMW from IndyCar Series licensed driver and PBIR driving Pro Chris Festa.
After the training, Woeste climbed into the race car for on-track lessons. Following Festa around the road course, Woeste began to familiarize himself with the handling of the car. The duo built up speed and once confident in Woeste's driving ability, he was on his own.
Woeste enjoyed his driving experience. "It is awesome; incredible," stated the participant. Formula BMW race cars are noted as a top choice of karters to progress to race cars.
Palm Beach International Raceway offers the Formula BMW Race School weekly. For more information contact on taking the wheel, contact Kane Williams or Chris Festa at (561) 622-1400. |
