The rich history of Palm Beach International Raceway dates back to its opening in 1964 and goes to today. Now is the time to bid on the final laps to take place the day before PBIR’s racing circuits are permanently shut down.
Bidding start at $500 for these historic laps ends on Thursday, April 21 and full payment must be received by 5 p.m. on April 22. The winning bidders will be announced at The Last Lap event on April 23 but do not need to be in attendance that day to claim the honor. The actual dates of the “last laps” will be announced to the winners once the closing date of the track is known.
Only track-approved vehicles are available for the road course hot lap. Vehicles must meet all IHRA safety standards for the drag race. Most street vehicles are eligible to participate.
Drivers must be 18 or older and possess a valid driver’s license. The driver must wear an approved helmet (PBIR can provide one if you do not have one) and no shorts or open-toed shoes will be allowed.
For safety reasons, no passengers will be allowed to ride with the winning bidder during the Last Hot Lap or Last Drag Race.
There will be a photographer on-site to document the winning bidders’ hot lap and passes down the drag strip. 100% of the proceeds of the auctions go to benefit the part-time employees of PBIR.
